World Drugs Team Connects Globally at 2012 Arab Health Exhibition and Congress
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Winnipeg, Manitoba – (Feb. 14, 2011)
World Drugs continues to gain momentum on the international stage and started 2012 on a positive note by attending the annual Arab Health Exhibition and Congress as a first time exhibitor. Held in Dubai over the week of January 23-26, Arab Health is one of the largest medical trade shows in the world, with over 3,000 exhibitors from 60 countries participating in 2012.
World Drugs attended the event in 2011 as a visitor and chose 2012 as the year to strategically increase our presence in this region by establishing a formal trade booth presence in the US pavilion. As experts in sourcing high quality, competitively priced products from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, India and Turkey, World Drugs was able to communicate our unique benefits as a global wholesaling partner with international capabilities to potential customers at the show. The response from the show was very strong with over 85 new leads being generated as a result of our Arab Health booth.
In addition to the new business leads generated from our attendance, the event itself was invaluable as it provided the platform for the sharing of knowledge and ideas on trade relationships and how recent changes in regulatory requirements are impacting the importation of wholesale pharmaceuticals in some markets. Meetings with both the US and Canadian Consulate Trade Representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Kuwait were also an important source of insight into opportunities and regulatory challenges that exist in the various regions. The experience and shared knowledge gained at events like Arab Health will help us deliver better results for our customers around the globe.
“Arab Health is a strategic part of our annual calendar and helps set us up for another year of sustained growth and success in 2012,” said Christine Campbell, Director of World Drugs. “The opportunity to meet, establish relationships, and share the benefits of World Drugs with leading regional decision makers is key to building our brand and expanding our network of international customers.”
